Cruise along Oahu's southern shoreline and enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch on the Starlet's Waikiki Ocean Fun and BBQ cruise. This 128 foot ship first takes guests past Diamond Head before stopping at Kewalo Reef, which has one of the best snorkeling spots in the area.
Guests can relax on deck or take part in a variety of activities on this 3 1/2 hour cruise. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they take care of the safety of their guests while providing a fun and relaxing atmosphere. They definitely make it a kid friendly place to be.
Activities on Waikiki's Starlet BBQ Cruise
At Kewalo Reef awaits kayaking, a giant trampoline, water toys and snorkeling. Snorkeling equipment is provided and guests are given guided tours. If not familiar with how to snorkel, the crew will provide instruction. On board is a huge water slide and patrons can walk the plank, (jump off the boat,) into the crystal blue water below.
Fishing is a popular onboard activity for kids. The hooks are baited with small pieces of hot dogs and if caught, the fish are tossed back into the ocean. Small fish actually swarm the water waiting to get their treats.

Lunch consists of freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, (along with condiments,) baked beans, pasta salad, and fresh fruit. To finish off the meal are delicious, homemade chocolate brownies for dessert. There is an open soda bar for all one can drink pop and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. A special vegetarian menu is available. Be sure to give a 24 hour notice if desiring this.
What to Bring on the Starlet BBQ Cruise in Oahu
Bring a bathing suit, towel and lots of sunscreen. It's important to protect skin from the heat of the sun and the reflection off the water. For those who enjoy taking pictures, don't forget to bring a waterproof camera. There are a multitude of tropical fish, green sea turtles,and manta rays to be enjoyed while snorkeling. A baby squid has even been sighted!
Costs and Times for Waikiki's Ocean Fun Starlet BBQ Cruise
The Starlet BBQ cruise sets sail on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 11:00am and 2:30pm. Hours can vary by season so be sure to check ahead for the times. Prices are $73 for adults and $44 for children 3-11. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. Transportation can be provided for an additional $10 per person.
